With the ever-changing layout of the infinitely spanning Void, recognizable locations or hubs of activity clash together as quickly as they are separated, connections between them shrouding in darkness or closing up with stone. The nature of the plane prevents any permanent havens for any group, but territories are claimed and usually held by the dominant creature type of the region. Many creatures who hunt in packs or groups navigate not by familiar terrain, but by sound. As such, most larger areas are indetified by the dominant sound on the endless winds:
- Howloo, den of caverns and enclaves in the rocky depths of the Void which housed primarily Gnolls, creatures of Yeenoghu, and similar lupine creatures which hunted in packs. (Shoosuva, Gnolls, Flind, led by their alpha Yeenoghu)
- Murz, egg-shaped caves found through the millions of holes in the ceilings of the Void, dug through rock and worked stone. These held flying creatures, primarily insectoid who hunted in swarms. (Chasme, Culicoid , led by Crepishigal)
- Clickit, similar to Murz but found through small tunnels in the ground, leading downward. The colonies of ants or burrowing demons here formed even more mazes within the Void
- Slorpor, region of ruined buildings, stone brick structures collapsed and forgotten. Primarly taken over by sludges and similarly oozy demons. This was created under the Black Pit. (Alkilith, Oblex, Shoggoth, Sibriex, Jubilex, most powerful would be Shoth)
- Rahclah, makeshift and cobbled buildings in the approximation of a city. This is where the most powerful demons would congragate to properly challenge themselves. Glabrezu make deals for fortunes, but most others fight for supremacy (Balor, Goristro, Molydeus, Nalfeshnee, Orcus would be dominant)
