The holding cells were housed beneath the research station, and had 4 cells. The cells contained Dimensional Shackles.

Outpost 31 was established in the northern portion of Tanadur, about 10 days travel through the snowy terrain from Garyn. It was set up above the subterranean glacier which held Rivelish.
Outpost 31 was a stone and metal construction surrounded by a 20-foot wide, 10-foot deep trench. It had an incline on the exterior to make it seem like a snowdrift, so unobservant creatures would slide in. The bottom was lined and filled with silver caltrops. In defense, defenders could partially melt the interior wall-slope to make it near impossible to climb up as well to add freezing running water to the trench.
Inside the trench were several buildings:
- Research center, which contained labs and requisite, a small library, as well as holding cells.
- Dorms, which contained sleeping quarters, a kitchen and cafeteria, a greenhouse, an infirmary, and an armory. Additionally, there is a small prayer area with symbols for Autori, Wolbreuk, and Duxen.
- Tunnels (primarily metal and stone), connecting both buildings as well as a hollowed out portion which holds a large Devastation Orb of Fire which helped heat the compound and acted as a self-destruct mechanism in the event of an overrun base
- Excavation entrance, on the north side of the outpost and outside of the main trench is the dig site, which is a wide, mostly vertical hole in the ice with scaffolding and ladders leading downward toward Rivelish. The top is open, and the ladder rungs are lined with silver.
