Ghav'oxia is a relatively simple planet, it's similar to Earth in many ways, its atmospheric makeup is very similar, though thinner, it has drinkable water, similar geography. The only difference is rather than life on the planet evolving as carbon-based like it did on Earth, on Ghav'oxia, all life is silicon-based. This change in their chemical structure makes all flora and fauna native to Ghav'oxia more naturally resistant to the colder climate and the ultraviolet radiation from their sun.

The planet is at a similar technological standard to Earth, though it is further advanced in its everyday technology. The carbon-based life on Earth makes for agriculture to be easy, the silicas in the soil of Ghav'oxia makes farming much more difficult. Due to that, the vast majority of fertile land on the planet has been requisitioned for agriculture, with most homesteads being attached to farms. Though a larger majority of Ghav'ox live in the few scattered cities across the planet, these being bastions of technology, searching for ways to improve their farming techniques to sustain population growth. It's main energy source is the waste products of their cultivations, these engines leaving behind silicon dioxide which is a key component in their technology.

In its past, Ghav'oxian politics was structured similarly to a modern day Earth, many nations all on the brink of war, striving to keep the peace and keep their planet alive. But as the population grew, food was growing scarce, and war was only tarnishing more and more fertile soil, an agreement was struck. Each region of the planet would elect representatives for a planet wide parliamentary system, made up of three different houses. The largest house is the States House, these being the representatives for each state, counties, districts, whatever term is used for the largest breakdown of each country. The second largest house is the Country House, being exactly what it sounds, being made up by the heads of whichever country you live in. And the smallest house, being only five members, is the Continental House, being the heads of each continent.
