Sox Cuhl was born a long time ago on the planet Ghav'oxia, being a mutant even amongst the alien physiology of her species. As a ghav'ox, she was naturally able to stretch her form a few inches in length, but some chemicals in the local water source seemed to affect her strangely, bonding to the silicon in her and polymerised into a rubber. When her parents discovered their infant was a mutant, they realised they needed to get her off the planet as fast as possible. Her father, an astronautical engineer, began drafting up a blueprint for a theoretical spacecraft that could get her off world faster than the speed of light. He began working and researching a suitable planet to send his little girl. While she was still a baby, the craft was practically complete, all that was left was to test it... but then the mob came. One of their neighbours saw Sox stretch more than she should have been able to, so they needed to send her off as fast as possible. He quickly programmed the craft to go to the closest viable planet while Sox's mother held the mob off. Before launching the shuttle, her father left a message for her, telling his daughter her name, where she came from, and the astronautical coordinates for Ghav'oxia should she ever be able to return. They sent their baby off into the vastness of space, all alone, but the navigation for the craft was shoddily slapped together, so the landing was less than great.
Her shuttle crash landed at a ranch in Greyville, the ranch was owned by Elias Cole, a former military xenobiologist who worked at Area 51. His expertise in alien physiology made him the perfect man to adopt a young alien daughter and train her to use her alien mutant abilities, and thankfully, Sox's biology caused her infancy to last much longer than a humans. Elias used his government contacts to forge paperwork, making her documented, and his wife, Florence, used her access to the local hospital's files to create fake medical histories for her adopted daughter.
Sox was given the name Susie, and taught how to change her skin tone to a more human golden shade and her hair became dirty blonde, but the one thing that she couldn't change were her purple eyes. She always knew she was different than the other kids, but she was always told to hide her abilities, or else she could be in danger. So she never showed them to anyone, until one day, in her second repeated senior year of high school, a knock came on the door of her family home. An old military contact of Elias's, Lieutenant General Lawrence Aldrich, the man who helped forge documents for Sox, showed up with a fellow scientist by the name of Dr Hardy Weber, and they made a request of him. Allow his daughter to join a taskforce that the two were putting together to put down the Nazi threat, they knew that her abilities could be incredibly useful to the team. While Elias and Florence initially refused to send their daughter, Sox convinced them otherwise, that she couldn't just sit around and do nothing when she could be useful to the good of the people, that she had to have been sent to this planet for a reason.
It was in the Taskforce that Sox discovered what kind of person she really was, the only people in her life before the team were her parents, and now the team was her family. But then one of her brothers died in battle, then another died of old age, then her best friend and her husband died, and still she and another had barely aged. But her breaking point was when the man who fought to preserve her team's legacy was murdered in cold blood. She had previously done some vigilante work following the disbanding of her team, but this final death had broken her, she refused to ever put on her suit again, and to never return to her natural form again. Instead, she tends to the Taskforce Memorial Hall, working as a tour guide through the museum, taking on the appearance of Susie Cole, the human woman in her late 30s. She's the most requested tour guide, because somehow, she's able to tell the history as if she had lived through it.
