Davil was once an adventurer but together with his adventuring companions from the Doom Raiders he decided to join the Zhentarim. They were directed to establish a Zhent foothold in Waterdeep. Davil has served as the leader of the local chapter ever since, and has tried to ensure the Zhentarim are viewed in a more positive light than prior iterations of the Black Network. They have focused on mainly legal activities, providing guard and mercenary services. They held a lucrative contract with the Government of Waterdeep under the former leadership of Open Lord Dagult Neverember. During that time, they were paid to serve as supplemental City Gaurd, and helped oversee tax collections.
He was known to keep a room at the The Yawning Portal conducting all his business in the taproom.
Davil sometimes utilized pseudonyms, including Perro Stillwish.
