The orcs have been checked repeatedly by the interventions of powerful dragons - both chromatic (Unknown and Unknown) and metallic (Unknown and Unknown). Includes the tunnel network-kingdom of Gnomengarde, and the ruins of the dwarven fortress of Icespire Hold to protect tunnels to dwarven vaults now beneath earthquake debris - likewise, the Unknown have twice fallen beneath great landslides, most recently in 1491 DR after the misdeeds of the so-called Black Spider.
