Ulfgar was always ambitious, even as a child more than 200 years ago. He quickly climbed through the ranks of Mithral Hall's elite combat forces. However, when he was given command of his first regiment of dwarven soldiers, his ambitions grew too high. During one of the dwarven Dragonmoots, Ulfgar had nearly his entire force killed by a silver dragon. For this, he was disgraced by the nobility of Mithral Hall. Ulfgar chose to leave the city to try and find some way to redeem himself in future.
His escapades throughout the Sword Coast led him to joining the Lords' Alliance. He aided the Alliance in their war against Luskan in the 1360s DR, and consistently fought against the Zhentarim during the 14th century.
I'm his later years, Ulfgar decided to return home to Mithral Hall and ate for The mistakes of the past. He hunted down the silver dragon that killed his comrades, and slayed it all on his own. He took the dragon's silver scales as a trophy. For this, he was welcomed back into dwarven nobility.
Since then, he has settled down in Mithral Hall. He forged himself his signature set of armor from the dragon's scales, and even began to take up the culinary arts. He now acts as Mithral Hall's ambassador for the Lords' Alliance.
He has written and published several books detailing his adventures, and has even written a couple of cookbooks.
