Few know it, because Kellin's lived in Noanar's Hold ad the proprietor of the Old Bridge Inn, but Kellin grew up on the streets of Triboar and was an important member of the guild known as the Black Knives. He only left after a large 'haul' that also compromised his ability to continue living in town.
On returning, he found Triboar changed; smaller than he remembered with people pretending to be more important than they really are. Kellin watched as an observer Lady Kaal dumped Rillor Pain breaking up the Velvet Hand. He watched as Rillor became depressed, shunning his duties and eventually disappearing into the Sewers of Triboar with a few trusted lieutenants. Rillor was hidden some said changed, but not gone and many thought he would not release his traps on the Black Knives.
Eventually, the guild came to Kellin and asked him to handle the day-to-day issues and he accepted, but he was left with an uneasy feeling.
