Originally founded in the 2nd Era in opposition to the then Queen Ayrenn of the First Aldmeri Dominion, they were opposed to other races of people being part of the Dominion and being trusted partners alongside Altmer. They sought to crown their own Veiled Queen in place of Ayrenn and no doubt countless horrors planned against Khajiit, Wood Elves, and others in the Dominion.
In the 4th Era, the group was reformed by Maesael and used as a means of unifying opposition to the Dawnsinger family's rule of the Dominion, but it did not seem as if this new version of the Heritance had any issues with non-Altmer. Nevertheless, the Heritance sought to unseat Doralien Dawnsinger and supplant him with Maesael himself.
