When one thinks of an elf, often time it is a high elf that comes to mind first. While wode elves tend to be more isolationist, high elves are much more social. Anywhere that you can find other sapient beings, you can find high elves along with them. Many high elves within these societies lay claim as lore keepers or historians thanks to their prolonged lifespan.

The downsides of that long life tend to also affect their ability to be social. High elves are the reason that elves tend to get a reputation of being haughty and holier-than-thou. After centuries of seeing history happening, they tend to think themselves the obvious solution to keep further evils from tarnishing the beauty of the world.

Elven Beauty

Elves, more specifically high elves, are renowned as some of the beautiful beings across the planes. It's commonly said that even a happily married man would feel his heart flutter when a high elf smiles at him. But it's not just their physical beauty and grace, but almost everyone who meets a high elf has nothing but the best to speak on their personality.

It's nearly impossible to find a negative thing to say about a high elf while you're talking to them. But often times, when you look back, that's when the bits of negativity start to seep in. That's when you start to catch their haughty and pompous nature.
