Wode elves are born from the Arcfey's love of their home plane. They are one with the natural world around them, with the magic of Faerie itself.

Javarn Baldithas, The Elven Diaspora

Wode Elves are, simply put, the kind of elf most attuned to the magic of Faerie, also known as Green magic. Forests are their birthright, as are the flora and fauna that call those same forests home. Simply put, you may never know if you're in a wode elf's forest, even if you look for them... but they will know when you enter.

Compared to high elves, the other prominent elves across Consarcio, wode elves are better suited for a warrior's life, though maybe not a knight in shining armour. Wode elves are ambush predators, biding their time while watching those who wander the swaths of land they call their home. While it's not impossible to find a wode elf wearing heavier armour or carrying a heavy weapon or polearm, those armour and weapons would be made from naturally available materials rather than the full steel that humans or dwarves prefer.

On Wodes

A wode is not just a forest, though some who are unfamiliar with the true meaning will use the two terms interchangeably. A true wode is a pocket of Faerie on the Prime Material. The magic of a wode is very strange from how one would normally expect, as they are all basically their own demiplane. Sometimes a wode is larger once you enter than it should seem on the outside, other times a week within the wode would be only a day elsewhere on the Prime Material.

As a monument to nature itself, a wode elf village is an extention of the natural beauty of the wode. It's as if the canopy opens to allow for homes to be built amongst the branches. Vines that would naturally snap become sturdier to climb, plants fruit quicker for consumption, and flowers blossom no matter what the season is.
