Walking around in Faerie, finding an avalotin is just as common as finding an elf in a city. But once you come here, seeing one is an oddity.

Beings borne of Green magic, the avalotin are deeply in tune with living beings in a way not many others are. They understand the cycles of life and death, of predator and prey, of sun and moon. While a wode elf is one with nature physically, an avalotin is one with nature spiritually.

There are also multiple different kinds of avalotin, each being categorised by their appearances. The most common is simply known as an avalotin, they tend to have more human builds, but with antlers, or a bovine nose, or bear ears. Then there are saytrs and centaurs, they are avalotin with a normal humanoid upper half with a goat or horse lower half respectively. Then there's a minotaur, which instead has a fully bovine head and the rest of their body is humanoid.

Animal, Fae, or Giant?

Avalotin are beyond categorisation. Are they extraplanar faeries? They are borne of green magic like other fae. Are they beast-kin? They do have a bovine, cervine, or ovine appearance. Or are they giant-kin? They do have the size like their goliath kith.

The answer to the question of which they are is a simple one... yes. Avalotin are the decendants of fae giants, as the goliath are of the terrestrial giants. And the giants of Faerie are much more bestial in appearance than even the Avalotin.
