Wyrmwight

Dragonkin

Legend tells us that the most ancient dragons were gifted by the gods with the ability to walk around amongst men, elves, and dwarves. It's the progeny of those dragons and the humanoids they mated with that created the peoples we know as wyrmwights.

Lylas Grinoux, Legends of Mankind

Wyrmwights themselves were not made by the gods the same way the Creator spoke humans into existence, or the Arcfey summoned the elves, or the Stone Chiseler forged the dwarves. The Brightness and the Chromatic birthed the dragons of old, and with their blessing, granted them power to shrink their size to match that of the other beings that tended to walk the world. And much like the half-breeds, the child of a pure dragon and man carried lesser strength than their draconic parent.

And after generations, they still carried some of the abilities of their draconian ancestors, but calling them half-dragon was no longer true.

Wyrmwight Colours

Due to their bloodlines matching the dragons of old, wyrmwights come in a variety of different colours, hues, and tints. The most common colours tend to come in three different categories, chromatic, metallic, and gemstone.

The chromatic and metallic wyrmwight are often mirrors of each other, much like how the Brightness and Chromatic themselves are reflections. Those two colours are relatively mundane, highly connected to the material world, being one with the four Titanic Elements. Meanwhile, the gemstone wyrmwight tend to be highly in tune with the three Planar Elements
