Aria Wren

High Priestess of Sabine

An amnesiac warrior trained to use rapier and pistol; she travelled with Johannes Kal and the Company of Steel for a few years before finding herself staying at the Abbey of the Unnamed One where she was bestowed with divine power by the Unnamed God of Sky and War.Through her adventures Aria discovered that she was a member of the Wren family and the older sister of the groups' enemy - Sabine Wren. The sisters reconciled and worked together to stop Enyalius, however, Sabine Wren was seemingly killed in the conflict.

The “death” of her God the Unnamed One, the death of Father Jacob who helped her find herself when she had no memories. Discovering her family only to find out they had all been killed by the God she once worshipped, finding out that her sister had embraced the Blight and spent years suffering for revenge - then having to watch her die.

These things all took their toll on Aria and though she was been hailed as a hero by the Monarchy of Alvarium and by the Church of the Five she ended up becoming rather reclusive.

As both a hero and a former priestess, Hierophant Clemency saw to it that Aria was taken care of and had work to keep her busy during her time of grieving, but she spent much of her time just going through the motions. Until one day, months later - she is in the High Church of the Five in Bumbleton, sitting alone in the now abandoned chapel of the Unnamed One. She comes here often to centre herself and be alone with her thoughts… This time is like any other until suddenly her eyes snap open - for just a fraction of a second she feels a connection to the Divine and a distant but familiar voice in her head says “Sister.”

Some twenty years have passed since then and Aria serves as High Priestess of Sabine, with a following that has grown rapidly over the years.
