This is the state religion of Alvarium.
It is effectively split into five separate sub religions that each follow one of The Five, however, most priests are versed in the teachings of all of The Five so that they can better support their parishes and the Church as a whole. Some priests and many lay worshippers do not consider themselves followers of one specific deity and instead worship The Five as a collective - praying to whichever deity is most appropriate at that time (for example someone may pray to Erdel for a good harvest one day and then pray to Morcantia when boarding a ship the next day).
Namorian Pantheon
The ancient Namorian Empire prayed to a vast pantheon of Gods though their power has long since faded and they have passed into legend. The exception was their God of Storms and Bloody Conquest, Enyalius; he survived into the current era by hiding his identity and becoming one of The Five. His plan was to bide his time until he had gathered enough power to return and destroy the other Gods - and he almost succeeded but was stopped at the last moment by a group of heroes, that was 20 years ago.
Orc Beliefs
Supposedly the orcs once had a God that created and ruled over them, however, orcs do not like to be ruled and so they travelled to his great fortress in the sky and killed him.
These days most tribes of orcs worship their own great totem spirit that guides and protects the tribe. Most, but not all, of these spirits are named after animals and traditional tattoos are one way in which the orcs revere them.
