Kobold

Kobolds are small and reptilian, standing around three feet tall. They have scaled skin, often mottled and patchy; vaguely dragon-like heads with large eyes and sharp teeth. Besides that there is a great deal of variation between different families of kobolds - some have horns or spikes running down their backs; others have vestigial wings or fin-like ears.

Small and cunning, kobolds are known for their use of traps and teamwork to taken down enemies; kobolds revere dragons and indeed believe they were created by dragons thousands of years ago in order to do their bidding. Although dragons in this day and age are a rarity, each kobold clan is founded around the name and legend of some ancient dragon.
