I continue mapping the flows of arcane energy that permeate our world, it is clear that the various magical traditions all unknowingly tap into these flows and I have determined that by identifying areas of convergence one can identify fonts of power.

The principals behind the project are sound and I have made it work on a small scale on several occasions, however, scaling it up seemed to rapidly result in instability. With the support of the Empire I have completed construcion of two sites and my theory has proven correct - the points of convergence work to counteract the instability and allow it to work reliably on a much larger scale.

With Aemilia's assistance we have plotted previously unknown flows and identified several more points of convergence. The valley just to Heos* falls within the borders of the Empire so I will travel there to confirm after I have visited my family.

There also looks to be another point of convergence to the Umbra-Dexter** but it lies in the territory of the wyrm, I shall have to decide whether or not it is worth trying to negotiate with them for access.

I am looking forward to visiting my friends and family at Spiegelsee*, I have spent years in the Empire and though I consider a few of their kind to be almost like friends I long to reconnect with my own people. We shall see how well the experiments with crystals have progressed, I wonder if Tilexia and their companions have given up yet.

Conveniently the valley I want to investigate as a potential next site is roughly 3 or 4 suns Sinister** of Spiegelsee so really only a small detour when I return to the tower.

* Spigelsee is an Elven term that literally translates as Mirror Lake.

Though everything is always a rush for them, the students are progressing as best as can be expected for their kind and the Empire seems satisfied with their progress. The exception is Aemilia Cassius, she would be considered gifted -even by my own people- and grasps the intricacies of the arcane as others grasp breathing. I confess that her insights have furthered my own work - I am only sorry that she was born to one of the short lived races, if that were not the case I suspect she would eventually have surpassed both Tilexia and I.
