Gatonio still can't believe his best friend (The Rat in the Hat) pinned that murder on him. And then left him to rot in jail. If he ever finds that murdering, thieving, no good alley-tabaxi . . .
Okay, what's the point in wanting revenge if the tabaxi you want revenge on dies right in front of you, but not because of anything you did? Ah, curse you Mateofor denying Gatonio his justified rage.
But, there does seem to be a bright spot. Mateo said that someone named George has his signed confession that can acquit Gatonio of the murder charges. And George had been traveling with Mateo, staying at some Inn. But which one?
It turned out George was Georgina. Mateo could have just come out and said it, but he was always was one for playing jokes. What wasn't a joke was the little cub Gina had with her, the spitting image of Gatonio. He was sick though, something that Stev and Dodgy couldn't figure out how to cure. They could tell it was similar to the corruption that our friend Hazel had described.
There's nothing left to do but stay with the party and see this through to the end.
