Point Helios' Lower Central Station is the beating heart of the lower half of the sprawling city. It is a crucial meeting-point for the diverse population of Point Helios, especially considering how expensive it can be to own personal transport larger than a bike or a scooter when living in the city's urban core.
It is not uncommon to hear a diverse mix of languages at the station -- providing one is not using a universal translator -- layered together with street musicians and buskers. Most of them work with their permit ready on hand, in case security happens on by, though some fly under the radar and move quickly to avoid being caught.
Despite the high level of security, and security cameras abound, thieves are not uncommon. Security PSAs around the station are regular, and particular to remind visitors to mind their belongings and keep any payment-enabled devices safe from skimming.
Appearance
The station follows a neo-futuristic design, making for a sleek centerpiece building that blends together with the many blockier, prefabricated buildings around it. It features a number of large glass windows on which vibrant holographic advertisements are projected.
Inside, the station may appear labyrinthine at first, as it sprawls out in numerous networks of shops, restaurants, and routes through to the platforms the many overground and underground transport lines that connect the city. However, all across the station are a number of coloured lines guiding visitors to different sections of the station; the colour of the line corresponding to the part of Point Helios (or its surrounding Stations) that a person is headed to.
Train Network
Underneath Point Helios, a network of tunnels connect different sections of the city via high-speed trains. These same trains surface to travel overland in the outskirts of the city core, transitioning into an overland train network as they travel out to the many surrounding stations.
