A Hobgoblin tribe in the south west of the Great Desert, the Threefinger tribe is named for its coming of age ritual, in which prospective adults cut off their little finger. They have had many skirmishes and battles with Proudpaw Tribe over the years.
In A Gathering Storm, the party discovers the bodies of a Redpride Village patrol, with skulls stacked around Stubborn Rock, which has been daubed with numerous three fingered handprints, and believe it to be the work of the Threefinger Tribe.
A notable member of the tribe is Griz, the Goblin Demolitionist and one of the members of the short-order mercenary trio known as The Three Gees alongside long-time friends Gak Iroh and Grakmst.
Threefinger primarily worship the Lord of Blessed Shade, one of The Many Faces by giving offerings of water to the God in return for shade and protection from the Great Desert. This faith considers eclipses, especially double eclipses to be holy events (which is similar to several other Dezraeli faiths), leading to their previous Chief Zibrust being considered a prophesised conqueror due to his birth in a double eclipse. This prophecy has turned out to instead refer to his younger twin and current tribe Chief, Wretch "Shadowborn".
