The family was created as a Cadet House when Alistair Tinker-Tailor asked Luciel I Quinnlee for the hand of her half-sister Isobel Quinnlee IV. Isobel was born out of wedlock to the infamous Queen Mother Isobel following the death of her husband Ira III. Family history states Alistair purchases her hand and the title diplomat to The New Republic of Bēti for a chest of Spore, before fleeing to the Eastward Gaze.
As of 3A 206, the family is now House Quinnlee-Tailor and is the Royal Family of a newly-reformed Kingdom of Tir.
