An Alchemist is an expert at combining reagents to produce mystical effects. Alchemists use their creations to give life and to leech it away. Alchemy is the oldest of artificer traditions, and its versatility has long been valued during times of war and peace.
When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with alchemist's supplies. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice.
Starting at 3rd level, you always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Alchemist Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Beginning at 3rd level, whenever you finish a long rest, you can magically produce an experimental elixir in an empty flask you touch. Roll on the Experimental Elixir table for the elixir's effect, which is triggered when someone drinks the elixir. As an action, a creature can drink the elixir or administer it to an incapacitated creature.
You can create additional experimental elixirs by expending a spell slot of 1st level or higher for each one. When you do so, you use your action to create the elixir in an empty flask you touch, and you choose the elixir's effect from the Experimental Elixir table.
Creating an experimental elixir requires you to have alchemist supplies on your person, and any elixir you create with this feature lasts until it is drunk or until the end of your next long rest.
When you reach certain levels in this class, you can make more elixirs at the end of a long rest: two at 6th level and three at 15th level. Roll for each elixir's effect separately. Each elixir requires its own flask.

At 5th level, you learn ancient methods for magically creating a Unknown.
Whenever you finish a long rest and your alchemist’s supplies are with you, you can form this homunculus in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you. If you already have a homunculus from this feature, the first one immediately becomes inactive until permanently bestowed on another character. The homunculus is friendly to you and your companions, and it obeys your commands. See this creature’s game statistics in the Homunculus stat block. You determine the homunculus’s appearance, which can include wings and bits of alchemical equipment. Some alchemists prefer mechanical-looking birds, whereas others like winged vials or miniature cauldrons.
In combat, the homunculus shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. The only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take one of the actions in its stat block or to take the Dash, Disengage, or Help action.
If the mending spell is cast on it, it regains 2d6 hit points. If it has died within the last hour, you can use your alchemist’s supplies as an action to
revive it, provided you are within 5 feet of it and you expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher. The homunculus returns to life with all its hit points restored.

Innate Spellcasting. Bakari Asim's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC12). They can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components.
At will: alter self, detect magic, fear, ice storm, invisibilityMagic Resistance. Bakari Asim has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Magic Weapons. Bakari Asim's weapon attacks are magical.
Regeneration. Bakari Asim regains 5 hit points at the start of its turn.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +1 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.
Stinger. Melee Weapon Attack: +1 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.
Teleport. Bakari Asim magically teleports, along with any equipment they are wearing and carrying, up to 120 feet to an unoccupied space they can see.
Bakari Asim can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Bakari Asim regains spent legendary actions at the start of their turn.
Scary Face. Bakari Asim targets one creature they can see within 60 feet of them. If the target can see Bakari Asim, the target must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of Bakari Asim until the end of its next turn.
