Al'Vn was a Paladin of the Church of the Nameless who was sent with Kilik Woteh to protect him during his work for the Imperial Geological Survey in the Dwarven Mountains. Salman Haseem managed to convince him to work with him claiming that Hagar "The Red" Olavsson would be able to resurrect his deceased daughter.
Upon being faced down by Aeliana and Kordair Inkfinger, Al'Vn was defeated and surrendered. Instead of allowing this, Salman callously burned him alive instead and left him to die. Aeliana and Kordair stayed with him as he passed, the incident leaving an indelible mark on their perception of the entire of Hathor Nepthys Ivarsdottir's expedition.
