The signature weapon of the adventurer and conman Kadar Rachid, Flameclaw is a longsword originally made by to a generic design, though the sword’s true origins are unknown - Kadar Rachid was, as noted, known as a conman and so any information like this should be taken with a pinch of salt - and heavily modified over the years.

This is an old sword, bearing the marks of two-and-a-half decades of constant use. The blade is long and double-edged with a hexagonal cross-section and a thin fuller, and is scarred with the marks of frequent battles. The cutting edge has multiple nicks which have simply been sharpened, and the blade changes colour in several places where it has been repaired more than once with new metal. The crossguard is of unknown origin but is clearly not original and the grip is a deer antler Kadar carved himself, and attached to the pommel is a silver necklace that formerly belonged to his deceased wife. Attached to the crossguard parallel with one flat of the blade is a small flint-and-steel lighter mechanism which can ignite flammable liquids when they are poured onto the blade by springing the metal hammer with the thumb.

Following Kadar’s death, the sword, along with his journals and some of his other personal possessions, are in the ownership of his friend and protégé Ashraiah "Ash" el Sabine, the owner of the Queen's Cat Inn in T'Kashire. The necklace however is now worn by Garrettar Rachid, Kadar's son.
