The first Orth story, following the misadventures of a small team of adventurers led by Shayla Maoilriain as they arrive in the Grand Duchy of Tir with an apparent mission to fix a local undead infestation in a remote village, and capture subjects for their benefactor.
Chronologically, it follows A Short Story, and is followed by A Short Month. The side story Moving On acts as an immediate sequel, albeit on a significantly different scale.
