In her sixth time loop, Bel returns to Firstflower with memories of her previous failures. She re-enrolls at the Imperial Grand Library, reads the tome "Mysteries of the Ocean" and begins practicing water magic. She befriends Alfred, a mimic disguised as a dictionary, and spends days conjuring jets of water until she can fill a bucket. On the thirteenth day she is summoned along with other novices to defend Mor'Koc from an assault of storm dragons led by the draconic Elder Being Thg’rib Amall. Riding on the back of a young gold dragon, Bel and her comrades plunge into a maelstrom of lightning and rain. She casts Shield and her new water spells to extinguish fires and protect allies, but she is incinerated by a blast of violet fire from the silver dragon. The loop resets once more.
