Rowan joined relatively recently as part of the Tiran Royal Army recruitment drive that followed the ascension of Queen Marial. He and is the Chaplain of the 5th Division of the Balla regiment, which was newly formed at the time of the Incursion. A classic blonde-haired green-eyed High Elf Ballan city-boy from a family of Jak'ra clergy, Rowan is a devout follower of his faith and actively uses its traditions as the basis for his routine, much to the annoyance of the vast majority of other soldiers in his regiment who are mostly Leannite. Like Jada he joined the army out of patriotism and fear of a Manzili invasion, but is noted for his slightly unnerving relishing of combat.
