Gnomes, also known as The Forgotten Folk, are a humanoid species of small stature well known for their sense of humor, inquisitiveness, and superior prowess at engineering and fabricating. The moniker "Forgotten Folk" has many meanings: a reference to their small size causing the "Big Folk" to literally look over them, acknowledgement that many civilizations and powers that be largely ignore gnomes as relevant or sometimes even existent, and the amazing ability for gnomes and their societies to go completely unseen due to their propensity for illusion magic.
