The Altar of Giants is a set of ruins located in central Impatria, within the Province of Palprofundia in the Holy Empire of Acolytius. It is directly west of Northlon, which is the nearest settlement. The Altar predates all of modern civilization, being a creation of the Giant race that was erected long before the Cataclysm.

The Altar consists of an outer ring of standing stones, with the intact ones each standing at roughly 70 feet in height and 20 to 30 feet wide. The entire outer ring covers a diameter of over 10,000 feet, meaning the ruins cover an area equivalent to some of Asobria's cities. A smaller inner ring of stones covers a diameter of roughly 5,000 feet, with its stones standing around 90 feet tall and 30 to 40 feet wide each. Some lintel stones of similar dimensions are placed on top of the standing stones, forming arches at random points throughout the rings. Interestingly, the vertical stones are not placed on the ground but instead are embedded within it. The bases extend far below the surface, almost as if they were originally risen from the very earth itself.

The multiple stones of the Altar are covered with carvings, making it one of the largest single collections of such murals in Asobria. These murals depict various aspects of Giant life and have offered many insights into what they were like. Some of the carvings also suggest that the Giants' slaves were used in the creation of the Altar, with ancient people of many different races being forced to chisel the stones and create the countless murals. Unfortunately, many of the murals have been weathered over the centuries and are no longer discernable. As such, the true purpose of the Altar and its construction are not and may never truly be known. Due to the high concentrations of residual Elemental Magic at the site, however, some theorize that it was used as a burial ground for the Giants.
