The Ytri River is a large river that flows through the Outlands, which is a Hold in the Kingdom of Kalvete. Its source is in the Spine of the North, and the river winds eastward into Skutlan Bay.
The Ytri is large enough to allow large boats to travel along it, which connects many of the region's settlements to one another. Furthermore, its mouth at Skutlan Bay is an ideal location for a large port, which greatly benefits the local whalers who regularly sail into the Sjóhval Sea.
