Edgar stands as the final lord of Schattenmeer, the title first claimed by Baron Ehrhard von Schattenmeer in a time long past. Once a striking and noble figure in his youth, Edgar has become a recluse, unseen by the outside world for decades. Whispers among the people of Totenhafen speak of a terrible affliction, binding him to the keep’s shadowy confines. Yet darker rumors hint at unnatural transformations tied to the cursed shard of the Schattenspiegel, buried deep beneath the Schattenmeer. A man of keen intellect and grim resolve, Edgar's presence looms over the dynasty and its cursed legacy, his unseen hand guiding their dark purpose even as his humanity fades into legend. His daughter, Isolde von Schattenmeer, has risen as the dynasty’s heir, her growing power a reflection of the shadow Edgar casts—a legacy steeped in both ambition and dread.

He has not succumbed to the affliction; he has mastered it. His crimson eyes burn with intelligence, his monstrous form radiating the authority of a ruler who has transcended mortality. His return crushed Isolde's ambitions—she had sought to enslave him in his monstrous state, only to find herself overshadowed. With his Vargheists, The Forsaken Triumvirate—once-loyal knights, now twisted into ravenous beasts—at his side, Edgar reclaimed his dynasty, exposing Isolde’s failure to protect their domain. Now, his wrath turns to the  Helots of the Half-Light Mirror, a Chaos warband ravaging the Schattenmeer.

The true master of Schattenmeer has risen once more, and none shall stand in his way.
