Mordreak Brainscrewa

Crazed Breakaboss

Some might say, that this tortured and crazed morruk is but a pitiful shell of a once great and proud breaka-boss. Those who have faced him in battle disagree. The orruk now known as Mordreak Brainscrewa used to be the renowned breaka-boss known as Mordrekk Brainsmasha in the time before the skaven flood and the arrival of the legions of Nagash to the Ravaged coast. Roots of this imposing figure can be traced to the swamps now known as Scorched Marshes, where he prowled the land and batteled the foul fauna of that place with his companions. Unlike others of his kind though, he did not settle for wild animals. In him burned the desire for conquest. Thus, he rode out on top of his prized Sludgereaker beast now known only as Love, holding the banner of the Skuldrinkez high. Many were his conquests until he settled in the swamps of the western peninsula, to the east of river Sulphuris. Here he built up a stronghold for boss Kargakk and his orruks struck even beyond the seas to the nearby islands.

This all changed with the Vermindoom. The flood of skaven assaulted his domain and though he was capable of repelling the attackers, his armies were depleted. Against the newly arriving forces of the Ossiarch legions, the morruks had little chance of victory and indeed, they soon fell. Death magic gripped the land, ruining the previously flourishing swamps, leaving only a barren wasteland. All except one orruk were exterminated. Mordrekk was captured and tortured without end, breaking him in the process, both in body and in spirit. What remained was but a shell of the old warrior.

This changed with the coming of the forces of Břřok Bonechewa. Mordrekk was brought back from his utter insanity by the potions of Zoghag Gloamlurka and agreed to join the fight, though still balancing on the edge madness. Now known as Mordreak Brainscrewa, in battle he is perhaps even more terrifying than before. Riding on top of his Sludgereaker, Love, he has no use of weapons. Instead, he plunges to the fray with his clawed gauntlet, grabbing his foes and dragging them with him, brutally killing them on top of his beast, all the while laughing maniacally.

When not in battle, his mood changes quickly between maniacal laughter, brooding contemplation and total apathy. Perhaps there lies the reason for the good relations he enjoys with Břřok, for during the endless torture he endured when trapped by the Ossiarchs he was stripped of what makes orruk an orruk and on the edge of utter madness and emptiness, he found clarity expanding his view and understanding of the realms. As such, maybe he alone understands what drives Břřok and thus supports the young boss. More ironically, his hatred burns bright for the servants of Nagash and Chaos alike, so much so, that he is, maybe more than any other orruk in the Ravaged coast, willing to work with the forces of order to exterminate these foul minions from the face of the realms. However, that does not protect other mortals from his crazed berserk rage when engaged in battle, as many in the Ravaged coast have already learned...
