To the north of the civilised lands of the Cinderfall Gulf lies the mighty river Kiera, its intersection with the river Sallow once surrounded by thick and impenetrable swamplands. These swamplands served in the ages past as a barrier between the different peoples of the land, as it was nigh impossible to traverse this wild and dangerous land. Beside the dangerous flora and fauna, the vile orruks known as kruleboyz have become the masters of this area and they have ruthlessly hunted down any who would dare to trod in these lands.
With the coming of the Age of chaos and the breaking of the surrounding realms, the power of the kruleboyz grew and, united in a single powerful clan, the Skulldrinjerz, they struck out and expanded their twisted domain while repelling the forces of the dark gods. The Age of Sigmar saw the forces of order trying to re-establish themselves in the surrounding land, but the domain of Skulldrinekrz remained intact.
The clan have thrived in the years of relentless war and having survived the Age of Chaos, the march of Sigmar’s armies to retake the lands and the Necroquake, their might seemed indomitable. Until Vermindoom. The skies blackened with dust and ash as Aqshy was being torn asunder. Then came the ratmen. Thousands upon thousands of skaven assailed the Ravaged coast and battled the powers that dwelled there, clan Skulldrinkerz included, their fouls sorcery and technology poisoning the land. For the first time in centuries, the swamps dominated by the Skulldrinkerz were penetrated by an invading force which despoiled all it touched. The great killaboss Karrgak had rallied his armies to combat the onslaught, even coming to a standstill against a corrupted verminlord. But even his formidable strength failed him—his head torn from his neck and his armies scattered into leaderless fragments. What followed was a massacre: a cruel twist of fate where the morkish orruks finally experienced the very dread they so gleefully instilled in others.
The swampland now is a desolate place, though attractive to some, as the rampage of skaven unearthed deposits of emberstone in previously hidden areas. As for the kruleboyz, they are scattered, their armies depleted and their former strength gone. Yet ambition endures even in the absence of former might. With the erstwhile orruk overlords defeated, new pretenders have risen from the ruins. Their singular goal is to crush all other pretenders and invaders, uniting the disparate bands of Kruleboyz into a new, powerful clan capable of plaguing the surrounding free peoples anew. Among these new warlords some stand out due to their cunning and brutality, such as Břřok Bonechewa.
Břřok, always the weaker one among the breaka-bossess of the clan, rose to his position through cunning, skullduggery and the keen sense to stay clear of fights he could not win. Having met the vanguard of skaven, he quickly understood the hopelessness of the situation (his eye being ripped out might have been a hint). Knowing that the coming doom is unlike anything the clan has faced before and that there was neither station nor fun to be gained from the fighting, he stayed clear of the bulk of the fighting and then with the might of his troggoth he rallied some of the battered orruk bands to his side. Thus he formed his own war band, the Marrowcraveaz. Now, he aims to gather under his banner the desperate groups of Kruleboyz scattered throughout the Ravaged coast, defeat his rivals and restore the swamps to their former cruel beauty. This will solidify him as the one true boss, though for that to happen, he first and foremost needs to gain the services of a Swampcalla...
