The Free Dominions are ruled by a very small circle of scholars, six to be precise, who periodically congregate in the Capitol Palace in Tuberdam to exchange their wise opinions and make wise decisions on matters regarding politics, laws, the economy, and much more.
These littlings are absolutely equal in prestige and decision-making power, if you don’t consider the fact that one of them is named Esteemed Rector and acts as a primus inter pares while also having the added responsibility of selecting the matters to be discussed and allotting time to each of them.
Additionally, if the Symposium is ever tied in votes and unable to come to an agreed upon decision, the burden of the decision falls onto the Rector.
In the Free Dominions, there are no parties or noble families to hand down the power, and the heads of state are chosen with a free vote in which citizens are actually free to vote for themselves, their neighbor, their aunt, or even their neighbor’s aunt!
