Bigfoot lies in the rolling hills of the Western edge of the Geline Territories, where they meet the Sonmordin mountains.
A halfling village surrounded by huge, lush fields. The halflings here all have very nice houses built reminiscent of halfling style but with the undersides enclosed in sheep pens and steeply pitched roofs. The halflings here almost all worship the Elven Empress, who granted them this land in return for them supplying parchment as payment. The Parchmenters are the family that actually process the skins; they don’t raise sheep. They are the richest family and Hogburr Parchmenter is the Mayor. Most of the other families (the Woolytoes, Shepnose, Fieldhoppers, Greenfields, Stickleburr, and Silvershear are the main families) raise and process sheep. There is also the normal complement of blacksmith, cooper, general store, etc.
The only tavern is the Lamb and Mutton. It doesn't really have any accommodations set up for medium or larger sized people, but they do have table/chair leg extenders they'll bring out to make their guests comfortable. Their heads will be brushing the ceiling, though. It serves lamb in the spring, mutton the rest of the year, cheese, milk, roasted root vegetables, and "Lambcake", their specialty fruitcake served with brandy sauce and whipped cream.
There is no inn but any family will take in travelers for the night.
The village is quite wealthy. They have a quota of parchment that they must provide yearly as tax, but usually produce more and sell the extra to wizards' towers. They also sell salted/preserved meat and cheese to the dwarves of Sonmordin, and wool and woolen goods to everyone. There are a large number of halflings with basic druid abilities here, who spend all their time healing and caring for the sheep.
The sheep are all white, and kept in very good condition.
They use llamas, imported by traders from Khon Mazu, as guard animals. They are the only llamas on the east coast, so they're also highly prized and carefully cared for. There are tons of Curly Sheepdogs as well, the more usual animal used for sheep herding. (Small fluffy white dogs that resemble sheep themselves, very cute, very smart, WILL herd anything that moves.)
It's very sheep-based, is what I'm saying.
