Engaged to Mara Sunstone, one of the younger daughters of the Sunstone family. Their engagement is a political arrangement, and there is currently a fad for ballads written about their nobility and bravery putting their loyalty to their families above their personal feelings. The two both pretend to be ignorant of these songs, and no bard would be foolish enough to risk their ire by bringing one to their attention.
Because the sixth Interstitial day is considered the absolute most fortunate to wed of any day (and only happens once every four years), it is the only day suitable for the Prince to marry, which means their engagement must last nearly two more years.
