Hot Springs is about 4 days travel west and south of Anumanu City. Almost all of its revenue comes from tourism; farming and pottery are the two other main industries. The waters are considered healing and many of the retreats are geared towards convalescents. Very popular with wealthy elves from Calendor, including the Empress who visits regularly. Late Fall-Early Spring is the high season; other times are generally too hot for most tastes, and what stays open tends to cater to the cold-blooded.

Dragon Springs

A single large pool frequented by dragons. Prices are outrageous but every whim is catered to.

Tamar's Rest

The most luxurious spa catering to bipeds. Consists of a main lodge with 40 rooms and an additional 15 "cottages" (most the size of a large house). Several pools fed by a single spring, for bathing and drinking. Saunas. Sundecks. Vast gardens filled with shady trees and flowering vines, with exotic birds flitting above. It costs 8 gp for a day pass, small rooms start at 15 gp/night, while the Prince's Cottage (5 bedrooms, staff quarters, formal dining room, private pool, concierge service, etc.) rents for 100 gp/night.

The place is owned by an ancient Tortle named Tamar. She moves very slowly and deliberately, but rules her staff with an iron rod. She pays well and demands perfection and ultimate loyalty in return.

Blue Pools

The Blue Pools are the only public pools in Hot Springs. They're maintained for the use of the locals, but visitors can buy a day pass for 1sp. There are small changing/locker rooms, a snack shop, and a series of pools of varying temperatures. Clothing is not permitted in the pools. Employees are paid by the city.

Mystic Springs

A smaller resort with only one pool, and an attached inn with 4 rooms. Health-focused. Lots of crystal healing and meditation promoted.

Berry Pools

Minerals in the rocks turn this water purple. The spa here sells water for drinking without requiring an entrance fee.

Temples

Maela the Fairy Queen (storms)

The Silver

Aennor, Tears of the Sky

Haemor the Heartfire

Isilf (the river)

Boiling Baths

Not actually boiling. Just baths, but the water bubbles up out of the ground energetically. A central fountain provides drinking water, and fills two dozen tubs arranged in a circle around it. Drinks and snacks can be ordered in the tubs, and it's known as a place to get business deals done. Famed for its hot stone massages.
