While for the majority, the primary benefit of hero registration is to fall strictly within the letter of the law and to receive the standard package of training and assistance that the Sanctum provides, there are additional potential benefits. Endorsement deals are a major portion of the superhero economy with some heroes being contracted by corporations to serve as brand ambassadors. Some corporations go so far as to sponsor and maintain bespoke teams of heroes who respond to emergencies on behalf of that organization.
The primary organization sponsoring and training young heroes as well as conducting support for experienced heroes, the Sanctum has close ties with the government at city, state, and federal levels. All those involved with the Sanctum who are involved in hero activity directly or even simply have powers or are non-human must be registered with the government to maintain their access to the Sanctum.
