Fauster Valemoon was the king of the Kalhastian Empire from Iron 914 to 962. During his long reign as king, Fauster sought to revitalize trade between other countries, focusing most of his efforts on foreign diplomacy. He gained a reputation among the people for being a man of ideals but not action, as his reforms rarely seemed to help his own people. He was noted as having a particular fear of healers.
Fauster initial ascension to the throne was largely unprecedented; his father, 2 older brothers and both older and young sisters were all killed in an attempted coup, leaving the rule of the country to Fauster at the young age of 16. Fauster was uninterested in taking a wife, and thusly became a king with no queen, which at the time was against the Settling Treaty of the Empire. Only far later into his reign did he finally end up taking a spouse, fathering three children; Arenora Valemoon, Unknown, and Unknown.
Fauster was afflicted with the illness Greenbloat, a curable disease, but due to his deep-seated fear of healers, he refused treatment. Fauster passed in 962, leaving the throne to his eldest daughter Arenora.
