“You’ve said far too much.”
~ Still Edge
Finger of Silence is a magical +1 dagger that requires attunement to use.
Description
An odd, thin dagger that resembles a flat, thick needle. A carefully wound leather handle protects the end of the dagger, and from the ringed pommel is tethered a small while cloth. The guardless blade gleams with an unnatural purple sheen, and in its center is the image of a dragon eating its own tail.
Effects
When the dagger strikes an opponent, once a day, the magic of the dagger may be invoked to silence the target. If the target creature is capable of speech, it must make a DC 15 Wisdom Saving Throw or become silenced for one minute, incapable of vocalizing. The user of the dagger must maintain concentration to continue the effect, and may choose to end the spell at any time as a free action.
History
The dagger once fell into the hands of the mercenary Still Edge, who named it and used it for a number of years during his work with the Lonely Fingers.
In 989, the dagger was taken from Still Edge by a member of the Claw of Arali named Lambchop, and later given to Caedali.
