"Last time, on...? Our party met on the "grand" ship The Dirty Whale, captained by the decorated Lanwright Bodgit and crewed by a variety of misfits. They sailed smoothly across the Fissured Sea for many days, and it seemed that their journey was nearly at an end, when the vessel was onset by 3 giant crusher crabs Bound together only by the threat of imminent danger, our heroes retreat to the bow of the ship as the crabs slowly approach them from the aft; things are tense but somewhat manageable until a piercing screech emanates from under the ship's deck, and suddenly, a Phaelnah Ellarian, who is actually more irritated than swayed by the wailing). Despite a series of blunders involving attempted acrobatics, the stealing of personal belongings, and the dwarf Lodgren Teravash being hammered into the deck like a nail, the group manages to take down one crab (the killing blow dealt by Wander), while another is impaled by a harpoon. In fact, during the battle, a rain of harpoons begins to fall, and along with it actual rain, and eventually a full blown storm. A cloaked figure in full armor slides down a harpoon rope and cleaves the remaining crab in twain with a single swing of his axe, as hordes of similarly hooded figures swarm over the boat, capturing the party and surrounding them. Wander and Kradva Ospen are stripped bare on the orders of the Rain Knight but the party manages to escape due to explosions set off by the Dirty Whale's crew. The escapes in a dinghy along with Kradva and the kobold Ab, who guides them to Tevari Port Town, away from the burning wreckage of the Dirty Whale. Departing from Ab without so much as a goodbye, the party seeks out shelter for the night. They arrive in Advar's Tavern, and the halfling uses his filched gold coin to purchase bedding for the night, as Wander demands a round of drinks from Kradva."
Things to consider: The party is currently in Advar's tavern. Kradva and Wander are currently unarmored and unarmed. They need new belongings. Eugene still has not introduced himself to the party. It is currently nighttime, and most places are closed.
