The Hecarate Homelands is an expansive territory located in easter-central Atavar, bordering a number of countries and territories including Shue, Uresant, Muphaev, the Sufessian Dominion, the Unknown, Unknown, the Unknown, and Unknown. Its centralized location among multiple hostile territories would, under other circumstances, make the region a hotbed for warfare, but the Homelands general lack of resources makes the area unappealing to most. Additionally, the land is savage and violent, inhabited by brutal nomadic raiding tribes and surrounded by a series of harsh mountain ranges. As such, invasions into the Homelands are infrequent and generally end in failure, while raiding parties that venture out from the wastelands continually harass the countries around the border.
