Ianver

Ianver is a stout-hearted gnome fighter and a peculiar member of Bromocorah Inc., whose small size and quirky beliefs make him a standout in the group. Standing at 3’5”, Ianver has a stocky build for a gnome, his frame hardened by years of both farming and fighting. His weathered, ruddy skin is marked with freckles and the occasional scar, evidence of a life spent toiling in the fields and battling foes. His straw-blond hair is cropped short but perpetually messy, often with bits of hay stuck in it, and his bright blue eyes shine with a mix of determination and unshakable devotion to his “wife.” A short, scruffy beard frames his face, giving him a rugged, farmer’s charm.

Ianver’s attire reflects his dual life as a farmer and a fighter. He wears a simple leather tunic, patched and stained from years of use, over a faded green shirt that’s seen better days. His trousers are sturdy, patched at the knees, and tucked into worn boots caked with mud. A small, dented breastplate—more practical than decorative—covers his chest, engraved with a simple wheat stalk pattern he carved himself. A short sword hangs at his hip, its hilt wrapped in leather for a better grip, and a small shield is strapped to his back, its surface scratched but sturdy. Around his neck, he wears a small locket with a tiny painting of a goat inside, which he claims is a portrait of his “darling” before she was cursed.

The most striking feature of Ianver is his mount—a sturdy, shaggy goat named Darling, whom he believes to be his druid wife cursed into animal form. Darling is a large, gray goat with a scruffy coat and curved horns, her amber eyes glinting with what Ianver insists is “wifely affection” but what others see as typical goat indifference. She’s fitted with a makeshift saddle Ianver crafted himself, adorned with small pouches containing his farming tools and a few shiny rocks he thinks Darling likes. Ianver rides Darling into battle, shouting “ONWARD… darling!” as he charges, his tiny form bouncing atop the goat as she bleats and headbutts enemies with surprising force. Despite his neighbors’ claims that he’s delusional and never had a wife, Ianver’s belief in Darling’s true identity is unshakable, and he treats her with the utmost care, often whispering sweet nothings to her or offering her the best carrots from his pack.

As a member of Bromocorah Inc., Ianver brings a mix of practicality and eccentricity to the team. His farmer’s background makes him resourceful—he’s the one who knows how to find edible plants, mend gear with twine, or set up a proper campsite. His fighting style is scrappy and relentless, using his small size to dart between enemies’ legs, slashing at their ankles while Darling gores them with her horns. He’s fiercely protective of his guildmates, seeing them as an extension of the “family” he fights for, though his constant chatter about Darling’s “druidic wisdom” often leaves them bemused. Kilionzel finds his loyalty endearing, even if she gently tries to steer him away from his delusions, while Demit is quietly intrigued by the possibility of a curse, though he’s skeptical.
Ianver’s role in the guild is as a steadfast, if slightly unhinged, fighter, his bond with Darling giving him a unique edge in battle. He’s the first to volunteer for any mission involving farmland or animals, and his unwavering belief in his “wife” inspires a strange kind of courage in the group—even if they’re not entirely sure whether to laugh or cry when he and Darling lead the charge.
