The Kennels have a long tradition of breeding and training Kengar. They care for the imperial kengar used to carry any message not important enough to be taken onboard a sky barge.
The Kengar nest in the small caves on the underside of the floating rock.
Over the years many different breeds of Kengar have been delberately introduced to the flocks that make their home on the underside of the floating rock.
Once a year the high born families ambassadors are allowed to take their balloons and pick some Kengar eggs that they can hatch in order to have their own Kengar in a festival known as The Kengar Egg Hunt.
They are also hatched in the kennels in an incubator.
The Kengar are the chief means of communication for those in the palace, they fly their messages to the empire below. Each of the high born families ambassadors chambers are equipped with their own kennel so that their Kengars can fly directly in without their private messages being intercepted. The kennels are run by Mistress of the Kengar Sentar Jen who is a Beast Murmurer of great skill.
