Dasteus Egador was the ruler of Favelion (later known as Athil) and one of the original Seven Lords appointed by High King Aelarian II. He was the son of Ardon Egador, the Marquis of Egador, a powerful noble house within Favelion. Despite his royal title, Dasteus ruled alongside a strong noble class that retained significant influence, particularly through control of trade routes and commerce. Rather than opposing the nobles, Dasteus used his authority to strengthen trade policies and economic stability, ensuring wealth flowed through the region. This made him a widely respected ruler, as his reign led to economic prosperity. However, his decision to work with the noble houses rather than centralizing power ultimately weakened the monarchy over time.
By 1632 ADM, the royal line of Dasteus came to an end when his last descendant, King Therald, was assassinated in a power struggle among the noble houses. This event marked the collapse of the monarchy, leading to Favelion’s transformation into Athil, a region ruled by competing noble families.
