Beras Sevar was the ruler of Gaiza and one of the original Seven Lords appointed by High King Aelarian II. Before becoming king, he held the title of Duke of Durinthal, the largest province of Gaiza, which he inherited from his father, Dorenas II. His rule was characterized by an emphasis on governance through counsel and representation. To ensure stability and just rule, Beras introduced the High Counsil, a senate of ten advisors chosen by the people to provide guidance on matters of state. This system allowed for structured decision-making while maintaining the authority of the monarchy. The High Council played a key role in legislative affairs, taxation, and diplomacy, ensuring a balanced government. Beras' policies contributed to Gaiza’s economic growth and military organization, solidifying its status as a stable and prosperous kingdom. The High Council remained a core part of Gaizan governance for centuries, shaping the region’s political landscape.
