Doniath Lofus is regarded as one of the most influential figures in Eredonian history. According to tradition, he was among the first elves to walk the world, born directly from the energy stone of Ima Aelvaran , the primordial goddess of the universe. Because of this divine origin, Doniath is often considered a demigod by later generations. After emerging into the world, Doniath settled near what would later become known as Lofus Lake, where he established the foundations of House Lofus. Over the centuries, his descendants spread throughout the continent and became known for their independent and free-spirited nature, distinguishing themselves from the more hierarchical and imperial Borro Aelvari. Doniath's descendants founded the Kingdom of Allora, which grew into one of the most influential realms in Eredonian history. Through a direct ancestral line, House Lofus eventually produced Aelarian II, who united the continent under his rule as High King of Eredonia and appointed the Seven Lords to govern its regions.
Doniath's life and legacy were closely tied to his greatest rival, Ereth Borro. The ideological and political conflict between the two figures shaped the development of the continent for millennia. Doniath championed autonomy, exploration, and local rule, while Ereth favored centralized authority and imperial expansion. Their rivalry ultimately divided the peoples of the continent into two major spheres of influence and laid the foundation for many of the wars and political struggles that followed. The continent's name, Eredonia, is traditionally said to derive from a combination of the names Ereth and Doniath. Their actions shaped the political, cultural, and ethnic landscape of the continent, making them the two most significant ancestral figures in Eredonian history. Due to his divine origin, Doniath possessed extraordinary longevity and power, living for more than twenty thousand years, making him one of the longest-lived beings ever recorded.
