Previous Episode: The Significant Treasure - S02 E04
Thor Battlehammer, Juul Troski, Diggy Holderhek and Danté Galanodel continued their journey north with Jacob Black, heading towards the pointy hat on their map. Along the way, they engaged in acrobatic bets with Jacob, resulting in Diggy winning a substantial amount of gold after losing a tooth doing a cartwheel. Their journey took an unexpected turn when they encountered an old man with dementia, riding a cart in confusion. They brought him to the nearest hamlet, where they were greeted by his son, Michael. Grateful, Michael invited them to stay the night, warning of the dangers lurking in the woods after dark. That night, the adventurers were awakened by strange noises. Investigating, they found the hamlet deserted, with eerie sounds of footsteps and whispers filling the air. Thor, Juul, and Danté followed a small path into the woods, led by a sign. Meanwhile, Diggy entered a house and discovered a dead child in a bedroom. He removed the body to take a nap but was attacked by a shadow demon wielding a dark magical sword. Michael intervened, saving Diggy.
In the woods, Thor, Juul, and Danté stumbled upon a disturbing scene: villagers worshipping a man in dark clothes and a bird mask. The villagers chanted in an unknown language. Attempting to leave, Thor was captured and tied to a pole alongside two other captives. In a desperate bid to save him, Danté and Juul tried to set the worshipped man on fire but instead ignited the entire crowd and the poles. The fire freed Thor, and the adventurers fled back to Michael's house. Regrouping, they found Diggy gravely wounded. His dog familiar, Diesel, sacrificed itself to save Diggy's life. In the early morning, they buried Diesel under a large tree near the hamlet and continued their journey north.
