Beastfolk

Beastfolk are those races of Aghera that have animalistic features — some more pronounced than others. Little is known about their creation, though the prevailing theory is that beastfolk were yet another side effect of the Scorching. Shortly following the Scorching, an inundation of raw magic swept across Aghera. The lands and peoples closest to the point of origin were annihilated; those on the fringes of the blast were warped by magic, and it is believed that some of these people later became the beastfolk. 

Beastfolk are relatively rare in Aghera, and dwindling with every generation; even the largest of their communities number in the low thousands.
