About Aghera
Aghera is the only planet known to sustain life in the () solar system. It is orbited by five moons (Xapra, Rebos, Anoria, Keliv, and Nalara) and in turn orbits the star Aetania.
Aghera is comprised of four inhabitable regions: Irkasy , Altangor , Ibaya , and Targues . The Scorched Lands were also inhabitable, once, but have long been inhospitable to all life.
The general technology level in Aghera is pre-industrial, but recent decades have seen several technological advances, such as the invention of simple firearms, the advent of steam engines, and gas lighting. Most of Aghera is still undeveloped, however, and travel between major settlements remains both dangerous and time-consuming for those unable to charter advanced transportation.
The general magic level is low within the majority of Aghera's population, but significant within the environment. Some of Aghera's races, such as dwarves and humans, rarely manifest the ability to harness Aghera's ambient magic; others (generally older races like the elves, or intrinsically magical races like the genasi) are likelier to have an innate ability to control magic. Attitudes towards magic and spellcasters varies greatly between regions and peoples, but the general attitude is one of wariness where spellcasters are uncommon. Most of Aghera's population is still reliant on technology to solve problems.

Major Deities
Most of Irkasy's and Targues's human population now worship a single god, Erazin. Deities from older pantheons still see some measure of worship, however — primarily as saints under Erazin, but also as deities in their own right. These deities are listed in the table below. Other races may also worship these deities, though they often have pantheons of their own. The majority of Altangor's population follow a form of animism or secularism.

Major Historical Events
- (Age of xxx, Year xxxx) The Scorching: A major turning point in Agheran history. The full force of Zilmanok's armies clashed with the elder dragons and unified pantheons. Both sides saw significant casualties, and the fallout annihilated entire populations. The continents which now comprise The Scorched Lands were rendered inhospitable to all life. The four remaining regions also suffered; the surge of magic that resulted from the Scorching warped wildlife and people alike and plunged entire nations into a state of chaos, setting technological and societal advances back centuries, if not millennia.
- (Age of xxx, Year xxxx) The Abyssal Incursions*: A number of Abyssal factions attempted another invasion of Aghera, hoping to capitalize on the chaos the Scorching had caused. They were repelled by the remaining elder dragons and deities. Erazin, a new human deity, emerged from the final confrontation.
- (Age of xxx, Year xxxx) The Great Freeze*: Irkasy and much of northern Targues fell under an unusual and especially brutal winter, crippling production and trade in the region. A mass exodus of the affected populations followed.
- (Age of xxx, Year xxxx) The Century Wars*: The human and dwarven armies, angered by a bitter dispute over a dangerous artifact from the Abyssal Incursions and the assassination of Ogmerin Shalefist, declared war on the elven nations of Irkasy and Targues. Though they initially had the upper hand, the elven armies crumpled under their foe’s sheer numbers.

- The Weald Wardens: An international organization of those dedicated to preserving nature throughout Aghera.
